“Given the increase in road deaths, today`s commitment has the potential to save more lives than almost anything we can accomplish over the next six years,” said Deborah A.P. Hersman, President and CEO of the National Security Council, who participated in today`s announcement. “The inclusion of all models in the agreement ensures that security does not apply only to those who can afford it.” Automakers report annually by submission to the Federal Register Docket, so their progress is a public data set. There is a standard reporting format for the number of vehicles manufactured during a given period and for the number of vehicles corresponding to the agreement.
